Round two at Wimbledon is complete, and the story of the round was Stefanos Tsitsipas defeating Andy Murray in a match that spanned two days.
While Murray left Centre Court disappointed, fellow Brit Liam Broady walked off the court with a huge smile, having defeated Casper Ruud in five sets, winning the final set 6-0 to make the third round.
The top two seeds were also tested, but both prevailed in straight sets, with Alcaraz defeating Muller and Djokovic seeing off Jordan Thompson, who caused him problems in the second and third sets.
Alongside Ruud, seeds to fall included Fritz, who somehow lost to Ymer, Cam Norrie, Alex de Minaur and the Eastbourne winner Francisco Cerundolo.

Broady Beats Ruud
Few had high expectations for the Norwegian at Wimbledon, given his record on grass and his lack of preparation, but to see him bagelled by Broady was a surprise even for me.
Still, the grass is Broady’s best surface, making the Junior Wimbledon final many moons ago, and he played very well, with much better movement than Ruud, who was rarely in the right positions as the Brit won 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
When I went to bed last night, I was having a think about what I’d say if I won the match, and I don’t really know what to say now; it’s a pretty terrifying, exhilarating experience coming out on Centre Court at Wimbledon. It’s been my dream since I was five years old. Broady on his win
Ymer Finishes Fritz
Taylor Fritz blew a 2 set and a break lead over Mikael Ymer as the Swede hit back to win through 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.
Fritz has not had a good grass court swing but did manage to beat the in-form Hanfmann in five sets in round 1, but came unstuck here in what was a disappointing loss as Ymer doesn’t have much pedigree at this level.
Tsitsipas Overcomes Murray
Stefanos Tsitsipas came from behind to win a curfew-affected match against Andy Murray 7-6(3), 6-7(2), 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-4.
Play was suspended due to the 11 pm curfew, with the Greek down two sets to one, and Murray was starting to get the upper hand.
However, on resumption, Tsitsipas came out firing; his forehand is a serious weapon, and after winning the fourth set tiebreak with some aggressive play, he dominated the fifth to come through,
It is never easy against Andy, I know everyone loves him here. It was a difficult game, and I was impressed with his level. Having had two surgeries, I was very impressed with his level today and wish him the best. It was nerve-wracking. It is difficult when you have grown up watching him play on this court. I looked up to him; I looked up to Novak, Roger, Rafa. These four guys shaped the game and are the reason I am the player I am today. You are dealing with a lot of things. First of all, you are facing Andy Murray and are down. You have to come up with solutions, which was the most challenging part. You are dealing with someone who returns lots of balls in… I had to work extra hard today to get the victory. Tsitsipas on facing Murray.
Other Matches of Note
Berettini Takes Out De Minaur: Back-to-back wins for the Italian, and he’s found some form to take out the 15th seed.
Medvedev Mutes Mannarino: Mannarino is a tricky customer on grass, but Medvedev showed good focus to come through in straight sets.
Eubanks Knocks Out Norrie: The American proved he was a force on grass, winning Mallorca, and Norrie had no real answers to his game.
