The 2023 MLB season was a lost one for both Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels. With Shohei Ohtani both injured and likely headed for greener pastures next season, the longtime franchise icon is ready to have a heart-to-heart with management to figure out if he wants to stick around for the rebuild. “There are going to be some conversations in the winter, for sure,” Trout said. “Just to see the direction of everything and what the plan is.” It would certainly be surprising to see Trout in any other uniform, but the three-time AL MVP is still a productive player when he’s on the field. It might be in the best interest of all involved parties if both sides simply made a clean break given the lack of success for L.A. during the star’s tenure.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Trout has been with the Halos for 13 seasons and is the franchise’s all-time leader in numerous statistical categories, including home runs. So with that in mind, how many of the career leaders in home runs for every MLB franchise can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
