SportsNet LA announced its talent lineup and Dodgers broadcast schedule for the 2024 season.
The Dodgers’ regional sports network announced it will air 25 Spring Training and more than 140 regular season games this year. The first: Thursday’s Cactus League opener against the San Diego Padres.
As previously announced, SportsNet LA’s spring training coverage will also include exhibition games in South Korea on Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. PT and Monday, March 18 at 3 a.m. PT.
The network will also televise the three “Freeway Series” games against the Los Angeles Angels from March 24-26.
SportsNet LA will return its entire talent lineup from 2023. Joe Davis and Orel Hershiser return as the Dodgers’ primary play-by-play broadcaster and game analyst, respectively. Stephen Nelson, who called more than 50 games last season, returns for his second year as Davis’ primary backup.
When Hershiser is not in the analyst’s chair, those duties will rotate among Jessica Mendoza, Eric Karros, Nomar Garciaparra and Dontrelle Willis.
Kirsten Watson will serve as field reporter while also contributing to the network’s studio programming. Dodgers Cactus League games on SportsNet LA will be called by Tim Neverett and analyst Rick Monday.
The season premiere of Backstage:Dodgers will be a special one-hour episode on March 28. According to Tuesday’s announcement, the episode will feature “Dodgers’ offseason activities, including the acquisitions of Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow, and the Dodgers’ trip to South Korea to open the 2024 regular season.”
