Another game, another accomplishment for Los Angeles Angels two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani after the team’s 4-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.
Pitching six innings with five strikeouts and one unearned run allowed, Ohtani recorded his 1oth win of the 2023 season on the mound. That 10th victory put him in a class of his own, becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 40 home runs and win 10 games on the mound in the same season.
A feat that will be hard to replicate, Ohtani figures to be alone with this accomplishment for the foreseeable future.
