2023 IWLCA All-Americans
CHICAGO – University of Chicago’s Rachel Keefe earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American Third Team on Wednesday.
Keefe becomes the second All-American in program history, joining Katie Large (2021 Third Team) on that list.
The sophomore goalkeeper submitted another record-setting season for the Maroon women’s lacrosse squad. Keefe anchored the defense with a school-record 120 saves and a 15-3 overall mark. She currently ranks fourth in the nation in save percentage (.550) and fifth in goals against average (6.67). The .550 save percentage set a new program record, while Keefe also added 35 ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Along with the All-American honor, Keefe was previously named First Team All-Region, First Team All-CCIW and the CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year. UChicago boasted the third-ranked scoring defense in the nation this season.
