LOOK Cycle introduces new power meter pedals. Well, they will officially unveil them tomorrow at 15:00 (CET). However, they published a teaser on their social media yesterday. I edited their picture a bit and managed to get more specific outlines of what the pedals will look like (see the preview photo).
The technical specifications of these pedals are not yet known (I will add them to this update as soon as they are published). Anyway, from the preview picture, the pedals will look very similar to normal road pedals. They seem to be a bit bulkier than the LOOK KEO Carbon. Another piece of information that the photo reveals is that the pedals will have ceramic bearings.
This will finally give Favero and Garmin another competitor. The question is how much the pedals will cost and how reliable they will be. I use Favero Assioma DUO, and considering their price, accuracy, and reliability, I don’t have a reason to recommend other pedals. That is, except for those who require Shimano SPD-SL pedals, which don’t have the wider Q factor of the Assioma DUO-SHI.

This table compares the main features of the Favero Assioma, Garmin Rally, and LOOK pedal power meters.
I expect that these new pedals will be more expensive than Assioma but cheaper than Shimano; $899 or $999 seems like a good estimate. We will see tomorrow.
Anyway, save this page to your bookmarks because I will also add the technical specifications and a comparison with the Assioma and Rally pedals once the LOOK power pedals are officially unveiled.
