On Thursday, the recently re-signed (although not yet officially) Clayton Kershaw spoke to reporters at Camelback Ranch, and said he is in the second week of his throwing program and hopes to be ready to pitch by July or August for the Dodgers.
Additionally, the Dodgers signed infielder Chris Owings to a minor league contract. Owings has experience playing in 11 Major League seasons.
In other news, the Dodgers have officially re-signed relief pitcher Ryan Brasier to a two-year, $9 million contract. The Dodgers placed Dustin May on the 60-day IL to make room for Brasier on the 40-man roster.
