Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas exited Friday night’s game in San Francisco in the 7th inning after getting hit on the left hand by a pitch.
The incident came after a strange scene a half inning earlier where a nice Rojas play up the middle was overturned because of a defensive shift violation. As the inning ended on a double play, LA starting pitcher Lance Lynn flashed a motion toward the Giants dugout showing his frustration over the challenged play.
Rojas was checked out by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts along with a trainer before he immediately came off the field. Amed Rosario pinch ran for the veteran Rojas and stayed in to play shortstop for the rest of the game.
The hit by pitch did not seem intentional.
