The Los Angeles Dodgers are 88-57 and are well on their way to another National League West division title.
The roster features Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, who are both having MVP seasons and provide consistency and recording breaking seasons from the 1-2 spot in the lineup every day.
With all that, many concerns still surround the Dodgers due to the lack of security at many other spots on the team.
Struggling pitchers, poor at-bats, and bad communication on defense all contribute to the fact that this Dodgers roster is not the strongest in recent years and have had to rely on veterans and young players to step up throughout the season.
“I think that once we put our (October) roster together, we’ll do a good job of preventing runs,” Manager Dave Roberts said. “What roles guys are going to play, I don’t know yet. It’s not going to be conventional. It doesn’t need to be.”

Unconventional is the name of the game and the Dodgers have embraced it all year with Mookie becoming a super-utility man to allow for strong outfield defense to start while Betts locks the middle infield down.
Signing veterans like Jason Heyward, J.D. Martinez, and David Peralta, the Dodgers were able to retool their swings to get them contributing back to their top-of-the-league production.
Calling up a plethora of rookies like Bobby Miller and Ryan Pepiot who have pitched meaningful games this year, the team will have to rely on them come the postseason.
Additionally, they brought back old faces like Kiké Hernández and Joe Kelly to help bolster up some lacking parts of the Dodgers’ game and signed players midway through the season like Ryan Brasier who is now one of, if not, the best arm coming out of the bullpen every other day.
The Dodgers have constantly been moving pieces up and down and Dave Roberts is confident that he will bring the right group of guys into October to lead the Dodgers to another World Series.
