The Dodgers fall to the Royals on a final of 9-1, wrapping up a 6 game road trip going 3-3. Tony Gonsolin struggled again, allowing 6 hits while walking 3 and hitting a batter over 3.2 innings. Meanwhile, the Dodger bats were missing in action as the club wrapped the series in Kansas City. The Royals knocked LA pitching around, scoring 4 on Gonsolin 3 on Victor Gonzalez, and 2 more on Yency Almonte as the team struggled to play clean baseball all game long.
There really were no highlights in this game. Mookie Betts got a double, continuing his exceptional road trip.

Otherwise, Royals starter Brady Singer put together a gem, allowing 1 run over 7 innings. Dodgers hitters managed to get just 4 hits off him and 6 total all game. The only run of the game came on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Miguel Vargas.
The only Dodger to actually keep Kansas City from scoring was utility man Yonny Hernandez who tossed a scoreless frame in the 8th inning.

The Dodgers are losing 9-1 to the 24-59 Royals.
The Royals have been hungry and aggressive. The Dodgers have been sloppier than a porta-potty at a chili-eating contest.

It was an all around flop of a game and bad road trip for LA as they go 3-3 against two last place teams.
