Polish extreme skier Anna Tybor is to attempt to ski two more 8,000m peaks this spring as the 2024 climbing season in the Himalayas gains pace.
Tybor previously skied down Nepal’s Manaslu (8,161m) in 2021 and Broad Peak (8,047) in 2023.
She is currently attempting Nepal’s Dhaulagiri (8,167) and plans to ski Pakistan’s Nanga Parbat (8,126) in June, all being well.
There are 14 mountains on earth that are more than 8,000m high, Tybor was the first woman to ski Broad Peak and if successful, will be the first to ski Dhaulagiri and Nanga Parbat too,
Anna, who is based in Livigno and spends the winter competing at elite level in ski mountaineering competitions, climbs and skis without supplementary oxygen.
