Do you have a New Year’s resolution? Any last words, perhaps?
Tahoe-based professional skier, podcaster and producer Amie Engerbretson was sponsored by Spyder, Atomic, Sierra Nevada, Scott, and Palisades Tahoe (yew–we see you, Amie)!
However, she shared a somber moment with her large Instagram audience, letting us know that “as the year comes to an end so does an incredible era of my career with @spyderactive and @scottfreeski.”

In typical Amie fashion, the media-savvy pro skier penned a heartfelt letter expressing her gratitude for this experience and everything that has come with it.
“Over a decade of memories, dreams, support, amazing trips and incredible people. Both of these brands supported my dreams, said yes to my crazy ideas, helped me bring dream products to life and supported me in creating meaningful projects that I will forever be proud of.”
“It is without a doubt that people at these brands made this journey what it was. I will forever be grateful to all of you for all the radness we got to create together… and damn did we laugh along the way!”
“The adventure of course continues but I will hold these brands, memories and people in my heart forever… xoxo”
Amie has appeared on the covers of SKI Magazine, the pages of POWDER, Ski Journal, Freeskier Magazine, and in multiple Warren Miller films.
Probably doesn’t hurt that her dad is Jeff Engerbretson, a former pro skier himself.
But Amie earned her turns (and features) all on her own. She even attended Columbia College!
We’re certain more’s in store for Amie, and we’re stoked to see where she goes next. Anyone with this level of gratitude and positivity during big changes has even bigger things in store.
Hopefully, that includes a little fresh powder somewhere in there, too.
