Alta, UT, is famous for its powder and not being open to snowboarders. While one of those things is debatable, its champagne powder is certainly not.
On April 6th, ski blogger Tony Korologos wrote that the weekend “will go down as one of the most incredible all-you-can-ski powder buffets in the history of all-you-can-ski powder buffets.” Watch why below.

Alta saw 10 inches in the last 24 hours, and the storm total now comes in at 24 inches, an even two feet of pow for skiers of the Utah resort.
Alta has a base depth of 181 inches and has seen 608 inches of snow this season.
Right now, things are partly cloudy, so it seems the storm has calmed, at least for the moment.
There is no more snow in their forecast for the next couple of days, but with 10 fresh inches, there will be stashes to carry everyone through this first part of April.
