The Atlanta Braves are the best team in baseball, and a big reason why is the sheer dominance of their ace, Spencer Strider. As the team hurdles toward the postseason, Strider will be chasing some individual pitching accolades as well. The 24-year-old is four wins away from 20 and 55 strikeouts away from 300 with just under a month left to play in the regular season. The biggest hurdle Strider may face in reaching these benchmarks is whether or not the team skips his starts down the stretch in order to rest him up for the postseason. Until that happens, Braves fans can just sit back and watch as he tries to put the finishing touches on what could very well be his first Cy Young campaign.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. A total of 27 active pitchers (i.e. players currently on MLB rosters) have multiple seasons with 200 or more strikeouts on their resumes. So with that in mind, how many can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
