The Chinese Ruoning Yin follows in the footsteps of her illustrious predecessor Shanshan Feng by climbing to second place in the world at 20 years old. Yin made a sensational return to the professional world, winning her first three China LPGA Tour tournaments in 2020 (a trajectory reminiscent of Ludvig Aberg’s).

Admitted to the world’s top 50 in early April after her victory at the L.A. Open, her first title on the LPGA Tour, the golfer from Yunnan (in southern China towards the Vietnamese border) has definitely entered the big leagues with a first Major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, twelve years after Shanshang Feng.

Firmly anchored in the top 5 since this resounding victory at the start of the summer, Yin took another step forward by reaching second place in the Rolex Ranking at the expense of the American Nelly Korda (who will be at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France at the end of September in Deauville) and South Korean Jin Young Ko.

To definitely join Shanshan Feng in the legend, Ruoning Yin will now chase the world number one spot that the retired since August 2022 occupied at the end of 2017…Behind Céline Boutier, solid fifth in the world, Perrine Delacour performs a great operation after her demonstration in Oregon for 36 holes.

Fourteenth in the Irish Open won in confusion by the Danish Smilla Tarning Soenderby, Nastasia Nadaud jumped 21 places (332nd) and passed sixth French at the expense of Agathe Laisné (337th) and Emma Grecchi (347).

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard remains at the gates of the top 100 (110th).The Official World Golf Rankings is a system for assessing the level of performance of professional golfers. It was introduced in 1986, supported by the four major tournaments and six professional tours that make up the International Federation of the PGA Tours, namely the PGA Tour, European Tour, Asian Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia, Japan Golf Tour and the Sunshine Tour.

points also for good final placements in the following tours: Web.com Tour, Challenge Tour, PGA Tour Canada, OneAsia Tour, Korean Tour, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, Asian Development Tour, PGA Tour China, Alps Tour, Nordic Golf League, PGA EuroPro Tour , ProGolf Tour, MENA Golf Tour.
