The 63rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is currently taking place between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Visitors skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to field first.
Mumbai Indians had a great possible start as they removed two quick wickets. But after that skipper Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis steadied the ship and brought their side back in the game with their staggering partnership.

Now the reason behind Krunal Pandya going back on 49 has been revealed. It is believed that the LSG skipper made a tactical move so that he allow the fresh batter to tonk some sixes as he wasn’t able to get his timing right and was tired due to the hot and humid conditions. The wicketkeeper, however, couldn’t make much impact as he managed just 8 runs in 8 balls.

Also, Krunal had some discomfort in his leg. He was shown on camera limping a bit but was seen climbing the stairs to the dressing room while giving some instructions to the dugout, indicating the injury was not at all serious. He seemed fine as he soon returned to the field and bowled the first over of the innings.
